He began a long and fruitful career here starting back in 1981 first performing at Waterloo Ice House and Ragtime, with No Compromise, then a host of other venues that have come and gone, with a few like Antone's, The Elephant Room, and Flamingo Cantina still remaining. He has held residencies for the last few years at Half Step, The Continental Club Gallery, and King Bee Lounge. He continues to share love and music with all who will receive it.

On these and other instruments including theremin and ophicleide, he has been heard with jazz's greats representing nearly every imaginable style of the music. Primarily a tenor saxophonist, Scott’s discography exceeds 275 recordings, including collaborations with Frank Wess, Hank Jones, Joe Lovano, Ron Carter, Bob Brookmeyer, Toshiko Akiyoshi, even They Might Be Giants. He’s performed with Maria Schneider Orchestra for three decades, appearing on David Bowie’s final recording. His releases as a leader have garnered five-star reviews from Leonard Feather, DownBeat Magazine, Wall Street Journal and respected sources worldwide. Scott’s recent album Tenormore, won Best Album of the Year in the JazzTimes readers poll, and rated “Indispensable” by France’s Jazz Hot magazine. Scott has performed in some 60 nations, in such venues as Carnegie Hall, Village Vanguard, the Library of Congress, and the Vienna Opera House. His appearances for dignitaries include a U.S. Presidential Inauguration, and a command performance honoring the birthday of the king of Thailand. As a performer, leader, sideman, or Artist-in-Residence, he has been invited to more jazz festivals globally than we could possibly begin to name here. Scott has participated in numerous Grammy-winning and nominated recordings, and received four fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts. He has been profiled in the Encyclopedia of Jazz and Grove's Dictionary of Jazz, along with books by Nat Hentoff and others, and once was featured on CNN. At his home near New York City, Scott has constructed a studio/laboratory for sonic research, containing an astonishing assortment of instruments and devices including the bass marimba that Sun Ra recorded with in the 1960s. Many adventurous recordings from this facility have appeared on his own ScienSonic Laboratories imprint. Scott's collaborators on these projects include Frank Kimbrough, Julian Thayer, Henry Grimes, Roscoe Mitchell, Milford Graves and Marshall Allen. ScienSonic's recordings have been certified by the Space Foundation as Certified Space Imagination Products. Scott is an endorsing artist for Vandoren Reeds, and is signed to Denis Wick of London for brass. As a composer his works cover a wide range, from jazz tunes to large scale combined orchestras. He is currently at work on his one-man improvised symphonic recording, Reach for Tomorrow. After nearly four years of daily work, approximately 9½ minutes of fully-mixed music for 140 instruments has been realized. This project will take an estimated 12-15 years to complete. A respected performer in all areas of jazz, Scott Robinson has arrived at his own unique musical voice which, as once described in a North Sea Jazz Festival program, "combines solid foundations with great daring". Drew Simpson – Guitar Chris Jones – Bass Gerry Gibbs – Drums Paulo Santos – Sax Josh Meadows – Piano Bobby Noble – Vocals/Perc Drew Simpson is a guitarist and composer known for his expressive sound and dynamic blend of bossa nova, bebop, and modern jazz. He first made his mark in California, performing with jazz luminaries such as Wilton Felder, Ronnie Laws, Wayne Henderson, Ricky Lawson, Terrence Blanchard, The Banda Brothers, Bobby Hutcherson, Will Donato, Phillip Ingram and more, while appearing at renowned venues and festivals across the U.S. His debut album Noteworthy earned international acclaim, with “On Fallen Ground” and “Coastal Rays” reaching the Billboard Top 10. His follow-up release, Come Home, further showcased his composition skills across straight-ahead jazz and Bossa. Since relocating to Texas, Simpson has become an active voice in the state’s vibrant jazz community, performing at The Elephant Room, River Sun, Continental Club, Monks, appearing on Austin PBS’s Women in Jazz, and bringing his music to festivals throughout the region. Building on his years of performing across the country, Simpson continues to captivate audiences with original compositions and inventive arrangements.

Paulo Santos is an Austin, Texas-based saxophonist and woodwind player known for his versatile performances in jazz, funk, and indie projects, his work with bands like Big Wy's Brass Band and Flyjack, and his recent collaboration on NPR's Tiny Desk with Blk Odyssy. A graduate of the University of Texas Butler School of Music, Santos performs with various groups, including his experimental duo Wizards of Loneliness, and has opened for renowned musicians like Randy Brecker and Joe Lovano.

Gil Del Bosque – Saxophone, EWI Dan Redner – Piano Nick Davis – Bass Aaron Parks – Drums Gil Del Bosque is a professional saxophonist, composer, and educator based in Austin, Texas. He performs on saxophones, woodwinds, and electric wind synthesizer and is known for his versatility across jazz, classical, Motown, blues, Tejano, salsa, merengue, and popular styles. Del Bosque leads the Gil Del Bosque Quartet, a modern jazz ensemble with a long-running residency at the Elephant Room and recipient of support from the Austin Live Music Fund (2024). He is also the saxophonist and horn arranger for The Matchmaker Band, a Motown and soul ensemble. As an educator, Del Bosque works with the Austin Jazz Workshop, presenting school programs and hosting youth jam sessions, while maintaining a private studio of more than 40 weekly saxophone and clarinet students. He has been a featured performer at the Elephant Room, Monks Jazz Club, Parker Jazz Club, and the Austin Jazz Society, and has appeared internationally at the Festival Internacional de Jazz Armando Núñez Portillo. His clinic credits include El Paso Community College, the University of North Alabama, and the Chihuahua 4 Festival de Jazz. Del Bosque has recorded extensively with Austin-based musicians, including pianist Adrian Ruiz and trumpet player Pete Rodriguez. He holds a Master of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Performance from the University of North Texas. In 2026, he will release two albums: Pulse, an electric project, and The Sound of Resistance, an acoustic recording made possible with support from the Austin Live Music Fund.

Jami Templeton – Vocals Joel Frahm – Saxophone Andy Langham – Piano Ryan Hagler – Bass Daniel Dufour – Drums Jami Templeton is a jazz vocalist known for her beauty of tone, swing, and the uniquely heartfelt way she engages her audiences. A native of the Pacific Northwest, Jami Templeton split her youth between classical and jazz studies. From the age of 12 years old, she studied classical voice with Margot Israels, the wife of legendary jazz bassist, Chuck Israels. While privately studying classical voice, she spent her lunchtime and after school hours studying jazz with award-winning vocal jazz director and arranger Dale Mattson. By the time Jami was 20 years old, she had already been awarded the encouragement award from the Metropolitan Opera. She went on to attend the International Institute of Vocal Arts in Chiari Italy, and Manhattan School of Music where she studied with master voice teacher, Trish McCaffrey. Upon returning to NYC in adult years, Jami’s passion for jazz resurfaced and the pull was undeniable, as she became a staple in the NYC and Los Angeles Jazz Scenes. In 2022, Jami independently released her debut jazz album to critical acclaim, charting in the US for 17 weeks, and reaching the top 10 in Canadian College Radio. Jami Templeton’s album “Shape of My Heart” featured arrangements by Templeton, and pianist and producer, Andy Langham. Joel Frahm was featured on tenor saxophone, with Edwin Livingston on bass and Charles Ruggiero on drums.
