Livestream: Autumn & The Blacklist - Live at Monks Cover

Autumn Henderson (Vocals) Iram Reyes (Trumpet) Marcus Wilcher (Saxophone) Andre Hayward (Trombone) Milo Hehmsoth (Piano) Danny Marquette (Keys) Dan Andersen (Guitar) Nick Davis (Bass) Terrance McDaniel (Drums) Autumn’s connection to Austin’s jazz scene began shortly after she arrived in late 2010 from Oklahoma City, where she had begun singing in clubs while studying music at the University of Central Oklahoma. She has been performing in Austin for over 12 years now at the Elephant Room, Eddie V's, Parker Jazz Club etc. Her biggest jazz influences include Nancy Wilson, Jane Monheit, Ella Fitzgerald, Donny Hathaway and Lauryn Hill. In her debut album, Autumn, released in 2015, Autumn lays down many, many good grooves, crafting a blend of R&B- and pop-infused jazz that might best be described as electro-soul. Loungy and torchy, sultry and sexy, Autumn shimmers with the same elegant splendor as the season that gives its creator her name. ----- The Blacklist was formed in 2018 to showcase jazz artists in the Austin scene. Terrance McDaniel, the master behind the band, teamed up with Marcus Wilcher to make a documentary called, “The Blacklist: Experience Jazz in Austin.” The documentary was 1 of 13 selected from 70 submissions to be part of the 2019 Faces of Austin Video Competition that was further premiered at the 2019 SXSW Film Festival. The documentary features Austin’s finest jazz musicians, including Austin’s First Lady of Jazz, Pamela Hart. The Blacklist continues to take on projects in Austin. In 2023, The Blacklist has teamed up with Austin jazz vocalist, Autumn Henderson, to deliver a night of LOVE, featuring some of the greatest love songs recorded by Nancy Wilson, and incorporating some modern favorites.
